FAQs
1. what is a slutty chicken?
It depends on the day. Sometimes a flamingo is a slutty chicken. Sometimes a slutty chicken is a slutty chicken. Stylish ducks. And every once in a while, a chic owl might get mistaken for a slutty chicken.
In our culture, as long as you’re saucy and divine, you’re a slutty chicken. Thank you.
2. how are they made?
Feverishly and painstakingly. Devon spends a lot of brain power trying to perfectly balance the ironic, cool and hot factor of these shirts. Devon uses her very own teeny tiny little hands to make each order, manicured by the girls over at Grace's Nails on west third street.
3. how do you wash these?
You are well within your rights to put your shirt through the washer/dryer. These puppies love a delicate cycle wash and a low dry heat. No, the rhinestones do not come off in the wash. If one does fall off...against all odds, we WELCOME an email so we can make amends.
4. do you do custom orders?
Heck yeah we do custom orders. How could we resist? If you were inspired by some of the previous merchandise in stock, or have something more specific in mind, then let's go for it!
Submit your order by going to the chickie commissions section of the shop page, and go town on that order form. Be very clear about what you want versus the amount of creative liberties you'd like Devon to take.
5. when can I expect my order to arrive?
All our chickie products are made to order. Once your order is placed expect a 2-3 week turnaround. Our gorgeous gem of a shirt takes time, but they are well worth the wait! Coal doesn't turn to diamond overnight.
6. do the rhinestones fall off?
No!! I would never sell a product that people could only wear once before it falls apart. Treat slutty chicken garments like all your other garments. They are meant to be everyday wear, not Party City. Our culture is not your COSTUME.
7. if I have concerns about my order, what do I do?
First, unleash your rage into an incomprehensible, stream-of-consciesness-email, which you'll absolutely NEVERRR regret sending once you've settled down a bit later on.
Before pressing send, make sure to either email us from the email you placed the order from, and include your order number somewhere within your list of grievances.
Then, expect a heartfelt email where we reminisce on all the good times we had, and beg to make things right.
